German Reference BooksBooks to Assist in Your Germanic Research in Southwest Florida
In an effort to assist in your research, SWFLGG invites you to review reference books and electronic resources listed in the various southwest Florida public libraries. Fort Myers - The Fort Myers-Lee County Library located at 2050 Central Avenue in downtown Fort Myers has an extensive genealogical reference collection which includes electronic resources and subscription online database access. As a service to library patrons and to distant researchers, the Genealogical Department Shelf List which is SEARCHABLE by call no., author and book title, is provided for review at the Lee County Genealogical Society's website. The Shelf List contains over 8,450 genealogy relatred reference materials available for in-library use. Port Charlotte - The Mid-County Regional Library located at 2050 Forrest Nelson Boulevard, Port Charlotte, hosts the Genealogy Room made possible through the joint efforts of the Charlotte County Parks and Cultural Resources Dept., Library Division and the Charlotte County Genealogical Society, Inc. The library's Genealogy Collection consists of books and media donated to or purchased by the Charlotte County Genealogical Society as well as books and materials purchased by the library. This collection can be found as a SEARCHABLE database online at the Charlotte County Genealogical Society. Click here to view the Genealogy Collection Inventory. Members of the Society also volunteer in the Genealogical Room to assist anyone interested in Genealogy and Family History and ordering and using LDS Microfilms. Naples - The Genealogy Collection located in the Naples Regional Library is a non-circulating reference collection of both basic and intermediate resources. The collection includes books, periodicals, electronic resources and web-based subscription databases.
